Welcome to the Thrapston Veterinary Surgery!

Having been a doctor's surgery for many years, partners Karen & Nick Park purchased the property in April 2011, to develop into a vets for both new and existing clients.  Running alongside our Oundle Veterinary Surgery, we aim to create a friendly environment offering a high standard of care for you and your pet.  Vets consult twice daily between the hours of 9am-11am and 4pm-6pm, though a fully qualified nurse is available all day. The onsite theatre is now fully operational and we are able to perform a small number of procedures onsite.  As the practice grows, we hope to be able to  extend our veterinary consulting hours and start performing a wider range of procedures.

Please note, opening on Saturdays
In these early days we do not feel we are currently in a position to offer a full clinical service on a Saturday morning and as a result will not be open.  However, our Oundle surgery is staffed with a full compliment of vet, nurse and receptionist from 8.30am until 2.30pm and will be able to provide you and your pets with veterinary attention if needed.

Out of Hours: As an independant veterinary practice we are proud to run our own Out of Hours Service, based at our Oundle premises,  for registered clients. For more information please click HERE.

Second Consult Room Finished

We are pleased to announce that our second consult room is now up and running. The computer was delivered late last week and has finally been connected to our network and set up ready for use in both vet and nurse consultations, this should hopefully make life easier when we are busy.

Vet on site all day on a Wednesday

alison un editedThrapston Surgery is pleased to announce that Vet Alison Cooper will now be spending all day on a Wednesday at the surgery and will be performing cat neutering as well as small dog spays. Please call the Thrapston branch on 01832 732632 if you should wish to book your pet in.

New Computer Ordered

We have ordered a computer for our second consultation room to allow two vets to be consulting on our busier days to improve the service we provide to all of our clients.

Dechra Food Trial

We are please to announce that at the Thrapston Veterinary Surgery we are currently testing some new Veterinary specific prescription food.

The Dechra SPECIFIC prescription food range is one of the leading Veterinary exclusive diets in Europe and has been developed over the last 35 years to ensure that the diets are of an extremely high quality.

The Dechra diets we shall be stocking at the Thrapston Veterinary surgery include Canine Intestinal, Hypoallergenic and Weight Loss in addition to  Feline Urinary,  Renal and Weight Loss. If your pet is currently eating an equivalent Royal Canin feed you will have the opportunity to trial this feed or continue on your current food. For more information on the Dechra range please ask any of the staff at the Thrapston Veterinary Surgery.

2012 Has Begun.

Happy new year to all our clients we hope you have all had a nice rest over the Christmas and new year period. We are now back open as normal following the Christmas holidays. With new year now upon us it is time to start planning what we would like to see happening at the Thrapston surgery over the next 12 months. Both Dani and Laura are keen to increase the number of services available in the Thrapston branch, we are currently finishing kitting out the second consultation room to enable us to have 2 vets consulting when needed. We are also currently getting quotes for the extra theatre equipment we would like to help expand the services we can offer.
