Oundle Head Nurse Sarah Shepherd

Sarah qualified in 2000 and joined the surgery in 2003, initially as the sole nurse but as the surgery has expanded, her team has grown. She is now in charge of the day to day running of the practice and ensuring everybody is kept in line!





Thrapston Head Nurse Laura Degnan

Laura qualified in 2006 and joined us in 2009 after moving to the area from Yorkshire with her partner. Laura oversees the clinical areas of the practice and is also responsible for dealing with all insurance claims for our clients. Since joining us Laura has also worked to improve the nurse clinics we offer and has attended courses on these subjects. Laura is our practice Pet Health Counsellor.





Deputy Head Nurse Jennie Tansley

Jennie qualified in 2007 and joined us in 2009 following her return to the UK. Prior to this Jennie spent time travelling and working in Australia and New Zealand. Jennie's special interests include mobility and physiotherapy. She is the practice orthopaedic nurse, ensuring our orthopaedic patients follow the correct exercise regimes post surgery.





Nurse Anne Swarbrick

Anne is an experienced nurse who qualified in 1995 and joined
the practice in 2006. Her special interest is animal behaviour and Anne also
runs our puppy socialisation classes at the surgery for registered clients.
Anne is studying towards a recognised qualification in animal behaviour
and runs clinics to advise clients on this subject.





Nurse Lydia Spriggs

Lydia works at the practice on a part time basis, working as a dog walker in Deeping St James the rest of the time. Lydia qualified in 2000 and joined us in 2009 after being previously employed as a blood bank nurse. In her spare time Lydia competes in agility competitions with her three dogs Jet, Holly and Diesel.

Nurse Emma Gilbert

Emma initially joined our nursing team in March 2005 after gaining her qualification in 2004. She returned to the surgery in March 2011 following her second period of maternity leave.Emma’s nursing knowledge and skills make her a very useful addition to our team and will divide her time between the Oundle and Thrapston branch.





Student Nurse Holly Wiggins

Holly is our student nurse, easily recognised by her green & white striped uniform! Holly is undertaking her 2nd year of training with exams planned for Winter 2011. She joined us after initially completing her school work experience here and then becoming a Saturday girl, before progressing onto student nurse





Nurse Nicola Scott

Nicola qualified as a nurse in 2008 and in July 2011 joined our nursing team. Nicola has a special interest in exotics and currently runs our in house laboratory. Nicola lives locally in Warmington with her husband dog Jasper, Mazeratti the cat and 3 guinea pigs.
