Rachael Howes MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

Having graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2014 I spent three years working in a busy mixed practice. After finishing my job there I was lucky to have 5 weeks working as a veterinary volunteer at a charity animal hospital in the Caribbean which provided the only veterinary care for 2 islands. For me this was the perfect mix of treating lovely island dogs and cats, meeting friendly local people and sunbathing on the beach. On my return I have just moved to Stamford and am now really excited to join the team at Oundle and Thrapston vets.

I love filling my spare time with sports such skiing, tennis, sailing or scuba-diving. I can often be found planning my next trip abroad to accommodate these and keep my travel bug in check! Otherwise outside of work you will mostly find me tramping around the countryside with my partner and my dog Frank, who is an ex-military explosive detection dog, as we get to know the local area and pubs!
